ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Debasmita Dasgupta is widely known as an art-for-change advocate who tell stories of change-makers from around the world partnering with global non-profits including UNICEF (Asia), PositiveNegatives (UK) & the StoryCentre (USA). Originally from the east of India (Calcutta), she is currently based in London but she travel across the globe in search of stories. She is an internationally-published picture book illustrator and graphic novelist. She has illustrated over 20 picture books, comics, and poems in both fiction and non-fiction genre.
Her illustrated picture book “Mina Vs. The Monsoon”, published by Yali Books in New York was nominated for the KIRKUS Best Picture Book of the Year Prize in 2018. Her debut graphic novel, "NADYA", published by Scholastic is critically acclaimed across many countries. Her art has been exhibited in many countries and more than 40 international media outlets have featured it.
